Arriba!! It’s a Mexican Food Photography Fiesta!
When Kendra Plastow Styling and I dreamed up this Mexican Food Fiesta shoot – in collaboration with The Eclectic Creative Studio and Rustique Vintage – we envisioned bold colour, bright reds, oranges, a pop of blue and yellow, contrasting against beautifully rustic furniture pieces. I think it’s safe to say we achieved that. I can’t take credit for the styling… Kendra did that herself with her superb eye for detail and beauty in simplicity. I can, however, take some credit for the cooking – I was pretty chuffed with myself… ha! Time to take some more cooking classes.
Kendra and I also had some incredible input and assistance from the gorgeous Jess at The Eclectic Creative Studio, who added her creative vision and touch and was just a dream to collaborate with. She brought in some gorgeous pieces, including those stunning colourful plates from West Elm, provided her beautiful hands for modelling and helped style the divine food.
The shoot was held at a gorgeous little store in Chelsea called Rustique Vintage. It was a find from a few years ago and we just KNEW that it would be the perfect backdrop for our shoot. Eden is the owner and he is just the most helpful, friendly and creative guy. He is a visionary and I highly recommend paying him and his store a visit.
